Young Idea workshops are held all year round except during the Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays. They give young people from many different schools and age groups a chance to socialise on a regular basis whilst enjoying their hobby.
Drama workshops help children to gain in self-confidence and to learn about teamwork, commitment and leadership. They also aim to teach young people the various skills needed when performing. These include improvisation, mime, speech projection and dialogue, characterisation, movement and dance, singing, stage-fighting, writing scripts, direction and auditioning.
There are workshops covering make-up, movement, stage fighting, lighting, sound, wardrobe, properties and many other technical skills children show an interest in.
There is never any pressure on a child to join in a particular activity, however, we try to make workshops fun so that they do want to participate.
