Stage make-up is very important to prevent the people on stage appearing very pale because of the lighting used. It also can be used to transform an actor or actress from young to old, old to young and from human to animal, beast or alien!
Applying stage make-up requires practice and some knowledge of the effects that can be obtained with different materials and techniques. Some pictures from previous workshops are shown below.
