Synopsis

The Laramie Project is a thought-provoking piece of theatre suitable for actors of all ages from 18- 80.

This play is a true story about a young man called Matthew Shephard who was brutally murdered in Laramie
Wyoming for being gay in 1998. In the aftermath of this awful crime Moises Kaufman and members of the Tectonic
Theatre project went to Laramie and conducted more than 200 interviews with its citizens. From the transcripts, the playwrights constructed a chronicle of the life in the town after the murder.
